Universal Omni directional Microphone / Active 120V Powering
Articlecode:
High Pressure Version
On special request Sonodore have developed a 'High Pressure' version of the RCM-402 Omnidirectional Microphone. It is powered with a 120V Power supply (double then the standard PS-402), the PS-402HP. A special cable with connector is constructed with a switched PAD built in, which allows for approximately 12,6dB attenuation. The practical use of the RCM-402 is now extended to 'ultra-close' micing of percussion and electrical amplified instruments. A stunning 143dB SPL is dealt with smoothly by the pre-amp. The output levels are consequently adapted to standard mixing consoles.
Many engineers have found the Sonodore to be the most transparent microphone in the market and requested to make a version that could be applied for non-conventional purposes like close to kick-drums and snare-drums. Also the pressure-levels at live POP-events can be such that most condenser microphones have to be modified and padded to handle those levels properly.
